Blow Out (1981)

My Review

John Travolta plays a sound effects technician who, while recording for a low-budget slasher film, unintentionally captures audio evidence of an assassination plot involving a presidential candidate in “Blow Out.” Director-screenwriter Brian De Palma (“Dressed to Kill” 1980) put together an exciting mystery movie keeping the viewer involved for the 108 minute running time.

Co-stars with Travolta include Nancy Allen, John Lithgow, Dennis Franz, John Aquino, John McMartin, Robin Sherwood, and Michael Tearson as Hawker. The watchable “Blow Out” was a flop at the box office for Viscount Associates and Filmways Pictures.
