My Review

“Time After Time” is a story in which H. G. Wells uses his time machine to pursue Jack the Ripper into the year 1979. Director-screenwriter Nicholas Meyer put together a fun and exciting film with tight direction and writing. The story by Steve Hayes was adapted from the 1979 novel by Karl Alexander.

The cast delivered excellent performances including Malcolm McDowell as Herbert George Wells, David Warner as John Leslie Stevenson/Jack the Ripper, Mary Steenburgen as Herbert’s helper Amy Robbins, Patti D’Arbanville, Charles Cioffi, Kent Williams, Joseph Haher, and Corey Feldman in his motion picture debut as a boy at the museum. The watchable “Time After Time” was a modest hit at the box office for Orion Pictures and Warner Bros. Pictures.
