Zootopia 2 (2025)

My Review

“Zootopia 2” continues the story of the animal city as police partners Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde investigate the arrival of a mysterious snake. Director-screenwriter Jared Bush (“Encanto” 2021) did a good job on this sequel to “Zootopia” (2016), aided by co-director Byron Howard. It has top-rate production values, colorful animation, and outstanding writing.

The voice cast includes Ginnifer Goodwin (Judy) and Jason Bateman (Nick), along with Idris Elba, Alan Tudyk, Bonnie Hunt, Shakira, Andy Samberg, David Strathairn, Patrick Warburton, Danny Trejo, Bonnie Hunt, Jean Reno, Macauley Culkin, Tiny Lister, Jared Bush, June Squibb, Cecily Strong, Mario Lopez, Michael J. Fox, Dwayne Johnson, and Bob Iger as weatherman Bob Tiger.

The very watchable and entertaining “Zootopia 2” was the second highest grossing film of 2025 for Walt Disney Animation Studios, Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures, and The Walt Disney Company. It made nearly two billion dollars at the global box office. It received one Oscar nod for Best Animated Feature.
