My Review

“Avatar: Fire and Ash” is the third film in the Avatar franchise, continuing the story of the main characters dealing with the death of a family member. Director James Cameron has created a film with outstanding special effects (especially when viewed in 3-D), but suffers from a muddled plot and a poorly written screenplay penned by Cameron, Rick Jaffa, and Amanda Silver.

The cast includes Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldana, Sigourney Weaver, Kate Winslet, Stephen Lang, Oona Chaplin, Cliff Curtis, Joel David Moore, CCH Pounder, Edie Falco, Giovanni Ribisi, and David Thewlis. The watchable and boring “Avatar: Fire and Ash” was successful at the box office for Lightstorm Entertainment, 20th Century Studios, and The Walt Disney Company. The two previous films were “Avatar” (2009) and “Avatar: The Way of Water” (2022). An “Avatar 5” is tentatively scheduled for release in 2031.
