“Old Guy” is a comedy-action movie about an aging hit man instructed to train a younger replacement. Trouble starts when both realize they have been betrayed by their boss. Director Simon West (“Lara Croft: Tomb Raider” 2001) put together a mediocre film with a story we have seen numerous times. It has poor production values, lackluster performances, and a bad screenplay by Greg Johnson.
The cast includes Christoph Waltz, Lucy Lu, Cooper Hoffman, Jason Done, Tony Hirst, Conor Mullen, Helen Ryan, and Desmond Eastwood. The unwatchable “Old Guy” was a big flop at the box office for R. U. Robot Studios, Highland Film Group, 23ten Productions Ltd., Source Management + Production, and The Avenue Entertainment.
