Money Talks (1997)

My Review

Charlie Sheen and Chris Tucker play a television reporter and a fast-talking con man who are forced to team up as dangerous criminals and the authorities are after them both in “Money Talks.” Director Brett Ratner, in his big screen debut, put together a formulaic buddy film with mediocre material which is over-reliant on the personalities of the two stars. Yet, the movie has some laughs and is entertaining from a screenplay penned by Joel Cohen and Alec Sokolow.

The supporting cast includes Heather Locklear, Paul Sorvino, Veronica Cartwright, David Warner, Paul Gleason, and Daniel Roebuck. The passable/watchable “Money Talks” was a very modest hit at the box office for New Line Cinema. Lalo Schifrin was in charge of the musical score. It was filmed in and around Los Angeles, California.
