Corregidor (1943)

My Review

“Corregidor” is a World War II B-movie drama about an American underground hospital in the Philippines amidst the Japanese invasion. Director William Nigh (“The Strange Case of Dr. Rx” 1942) put together this wartime film intended to boost stateside morale. The screenplay was written by Doris Malloy, Edgar G. Ulmer, and George Wellington Pardy.

The cast includes Otto Kruger, Elissa Landi, Donald Woods, Frank Jenks, Wanda McKay, Ruby Dandridge, Ian Keith, and I. Stanford Jolley and John Grant as a soldiers at the barricade. The watchable “Corregidor,” with a 73 minute running time, was a production of Atlantis Pictures Corporation and Producers Releasing Corporation. It was filmed at Fine Arts Studios in Los Angeles.
