My Review

“Running the Bases” is a faith-based sports film about a small-town baseball coach who accepts a job as the head coach of a larger and more successful high school baseball program. After arriving and starting the new employment, he soon faces opposition to his coaching style. Directors-screenwriters Marty Roberts and Jimmy Womble put together this absorbing drama which is a fast-moving two hours and seven minutes running time.

The largely unknown cast delivers compelling performances including Brett Varvel, Gigi Orsillo, Todd Terry, Cameron Arnett, Garry Nation, Stephen Lewis. The watchable “Running the Bases” was not successful at the box office for UP2U Films. It was filmed entirely on location in Harrison, Arkansas.
