Confess, Fletch (2022)

My Review

The usually dramatic actor Jon Hamm has a chance to demonstrate his comedic chops in “Confess, Fletch.” He had help from director Greg Mattola, with whom he worked with in “Keeping Up With the Joneses” (2016). Mattola co-wrote the screenplay with Zev Borrow, the result being fun comedy and plenty of laughs.

The cast includes Jon Hamm, Marcia Gay Harden, Kyle MacLachlan, Roy Wood Jr., John Slattery, Annie Mumolo, Ayden Mayeri, Lorenzo Izzo, and Robert Picardo as Count Clementi Arbogastes de Grassi. The very watchable “Confess, Fletch” was a box office bomb for producer Jon Hamm, Miramax, and Paramount Pictures.

It was filmed in and around Boston, Massachusetts. The two previous films in the series were “Fletch” (1985) and “Fletch Lives” (1989). Both starred Chevy Chase.
