Infidel (2020)

My Review

“Infidel” is a political action-thriller about an American blogger who is arrested in Egypt by a terrorist group and imprisoned in Iran on false spy charges. His wife travels to Iran to rescue him with the help of some of the locals. Iranian-American director-screenwriter Cyrus Nowrasteh (“The Day Reagan as Shot” 2001) tightly directed this roller coaster of a film, which hardly has a dull moment in the 107 minute running time.

The cast includes Jim Caviezel, Claudia Karvan, Hal Ozsan, Stelio Savante, Isabelle Adriani, and Noor Taher. The very watchable “Infidel” was a modest success at the box office for D’Souza Media, New Path Pictures, and Cloudburst Entertainment. It was filmed entirely on location in Jordan.
