My Review

“Rogue” is an action film about a woman mercenary leading a team on a rescue mission in Africa. When their extraction goes wrong, they are stranded in hostile territory forced to fight both local militants and a bloodthirsty lion. Director M. J. Bassett struck out on all counts creating a tedious and boring film with terrible writing, bad production values, forgettable performances, and more. She co-wrote the screenplay with her daughter Isabella Bassett.

The cast includes Megan Fox, Philip Winchester, Jessica Sutton, Brandon Auret, Adam Deacon, Sisanda Henna, and Lee-Ann Liebenberg as T. J. The unwatchable “Rogue” was a box office bomb for Grindstone Entertainment Group, Mannequin Pictures, M-Net, Capstone Pictures, and Lionsgate Films. It was filmed near Johannesburg, South Africa.
