My Review

“The King’s Man” is an action movie telling the background story of the Kingsman intelligence agency. Set in World War I, it follows the Duke of Oxford’s efforts to build an underground network of spies independent of the government to stop numerous villains from ruining the lives of the general public. Director-screenwriter Matthew Vaughn (“Stardust” 2007) developed an exciting prequel and sequel to the first two films, “Kingsman: The Secret Service” (2014) and “Kingsman: The Golden Circle” (2017).

The cast includes Ralph Fiennes, Gemma Atherton, Rhys Ifans, Matthew Goode, Tom Hollander, Djimon Hounsou, Charles Dance, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Daniel Bruhl, Harris Dickinson, and Stanley Tucci as the U. S. Ambassador to the U. K. The watchable “The King’s Man” was a modest success at the box office for Marv Studios, Cloudy Productions, 20th Century Studios, and The Walt Disney Company. It was filmed in England, UK, and Piedmont, Italy.
