Snitch (2013)

My Review

“Snitch” is a crime drama about a man who goes undercover with the DEA and infiltrates a drug cartel to clear his son’s name after the young man was framed for a drug deal. Director Ric Roman Waugh (“Felon” 2008), who co-wrote the screenplay with Justin Haythe, put together an interesting story with some inconsistencies in the plot and a generally uneven pace to the movie.

The stars deliver in the performance department, especially Duane Johnson in the lead role of the concerned father ready to sacrifice for his son. Co-stars include Benjamin Bratt, Susan Sarandon, Barry Pepper, Harold Perrineau, Jon Bernthal, David Harbour, and Rafi Gavron as Duane’s son. The watchable “Snitch” was a modest success at the box office for producer Duane Johnson, Exclusive Media, Participant Media, Image Nation, and Summit Entertainment. It was filmed in Louisiana and Texas.
