My Review

“Disclosure Day” is a science fiction thriller movie about a meteorologist and a cybersecurity expert racing against time to expose to the public a decades-long government and corporate coverup of solid proof that extraterrestrial life exists on earth. Director Steven Spielberg (“Jaws” 1975) puts together a film in which it seems he wants to be ahead of current events, with numerous recent reports that the government is on the verge of releasing conclusive proof of UFO’s and related topics. Whatever the case, this motion picture is well done on all levels in typical Spielberg fashion, with fantastic production values, outstanding performances, and high-quality writing. The screenplay was written by David Koepp, with the story conceived by Spielberg.

The cast includes Emily Blunt as the weather girl, Josh O’Connor as the computer expert, Colin Firth as corporate CEO, Eve Hewson as an ex-nun, Colman Domingo as corporate turncoat, Wyatt Russell (son of Goldie Hawn & Kurt Russell) as Emily’s boyfriend, Henry Lloyd-Hughes as corporate security chief, and Elizabeth Marvel as the mother superior. The watchable “Disclosure Day” has been number one at the box office this week from Amblin Entertainment and Universal Pictures. It was filmed in New York and New Jersey.
