My Review

Marty McFly time-travels to the Old West of 1885 to rescue Doc Brown from the outlaw Buford “Mad Dog” Tannen, great-grandfather of Biff Tannen, in “Back to the Future Part III.” Director Robert Zemeckis and screenwriter Bob Gale go to bat for the third straight film and hit a home run with an entertaining second sequel.

The cast includes Michael J. Fox as Marty McFly, Christopher Lloyd as Doc Brown, Mary Steenburgen as Doc’s love interest, Thomas F. Wilson as Biff Tannen and Mad Dog Tannen, Lea Thompson as Marty’s great-grandmother and mother, Elisabeth Shue as Marty’s squeeze Jennifer, Matt Clark as the bartender, Richard Dysart as a barbed wire salesman, Harry Carey Jr. as a gun salesman, Dub Taylor as a deputy sheriff, and Pat Buttram as Mayor of Hill Valley.

The watchable “Back to the Future Part III” was the sixth highest grossing film of 1990 for producer Bob Gale, Amblin Entertainment, and Universal Pictures. It was filmed in California and Arizona.
