My Review

Six astronauts aboard the International Space Station in the not too distant future discover life from soil samples from Mars and get more than they bargained for in “Life.” Director Daniel Espinosa (“Safe House” 2012) kept a tight rein on the production ensuring the story is believable and that the action is well paced in this scifi adventure.The well written screenplay by Rhett Reese and Paul Warnick was good enough for the ensemble cast to work with.

They include Jake Gyllenhaal, Rebecca Ferguson, Ryan Reynolds, Hiroyuki Sanada, Ariyon Bakare, and Olga Dihovichnaya. The watchable picture “Life” was popular at the box office from Columbia Pictures, Skydance Media, and Sony Pictures Releasing. It was primarily filmed at Shepperton Studios in Surrey, England, UK.
