Clint Eastwood shows he can still deliver the goods on the big screen after seven decades in movies in his latest film “The Mule.” In this true story, Eastwood plays a World War II veteran who becomes a courier for a drug cartel.

Eastwood plays the role with his usual charisma and humor, while at the same time directing the picture and serving as one of the producers. The sterling screenplay was written by Nick Schenk, adapted from a 2014 New York Times article by Sam Dolnick.

The supporting cast includes Bradley Cooper, Laurence Fishburne, Michael Pena, Dianne Wiest, Andy Garcia, Alison Eastwood, and Richard Herd. “The Mule” was a big hit at the box office for producer Clint Eastwood, Malpaso Productions, Bron Creative, Imperative Entertainment, and Warner Bros. Pictures. It was filmed in Georgia, Colorado, and New Mexico.
