My Review

Bruce Willis plays a doctor out for revenge on the men who killed his wife and leave his daughter comatose in “Death Wish.” Director Eli Roth (“Cabin Fever” 2002) and screenwriter Joe Carnahan put together a decent remake of Charles Bronson’s “Death Wish” (1974), which in turn was adapted from the 1972 novel of the same name by Brian Garfield.

The cast includes Bruce Willis, Vincent D’Onofrio, Elisabeth Shue, Len Cariou, Dean Norris, Beau Knapp, Kimberly Elise, and Wendy Crewson as Dr. Klavens. “Death Wish” was a financial disappointment at the box office for Annapurna Pictures, Cave 76 Productions, and Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer.

It was filmed in Montreal, Canada, and Chicago, America. This film with a 107 minute running time received two nominations for the Golden Raspberry Awards – Worst Actor (Willis) and Worst Prequel, Remake, Rip-off or Sequel.
