The 15:17 to Paris (2018)

My Review

“The 15:17 to Paris” is the true story about an aborted terrorist attack aboard the Amsterdam to Paris train in 2015. Director Clint Eastwood (“Play Misty for Me” 1971) took the unusual step of having the three Americans who stopped the attack play themselves. Clint gave the film outstanding production values, amazing performances, incredible suspense, and great writing by Dorothy Blyskal. It was adapted from the trio’s 2016 autobiography.

Spencer Stone, Anthony Sadler, and Alek Skarlatos did a good job considering it was their feature film debut. This remains their only film credit. Co-stars include Judy Greer, P. J. Byrne, Tony Hale, Jaleel White, and Jenna Fischer. The watchable “The 15:17 to Paris” was a modest success at the box office for producer Clint Eastwood, Malpaso Productions, Village Roadshow Pictures, and Warner Bros. Pictures. It was filmed in Atlanta, Georgia, and in Italy, Belgium, and the Netherlands.
