My Review

“12 Strong” is the true story of the first U. S. military incursion into Afghanistan after the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks. Although a well-intentioned salute to our brave men and women in uniform, this project falls short due to lack of focus in the story and poor character development by director Nicolai Fuglsig and screenwriters Ted Tally and Peter Craig.

The actors include Chris Hemsworth, Michael Shannon, Michael Pena, Navid Negahban, Thad Luckinbill, Rob Riggle, and Taylor Sheridan. “12 Strong” turned a modest profit at the box office for producer Jerry Bruckheimer, Alcon Entertainment, Black Label Media, and Warner Bros. Pictures. It was filmed in New Mexico.
