My Review

“Frozen 2” continues the story of Anna and Elsa and their companions as they travel to an enchanted forest to unravel the origin of Elsa’s magical power. The drama proceeds from there, well directed by Chris Buck and Jennifer Lee, with Lee in charge of writing the screenplay. The pair had the same responsibilities with “Frozen” (2013) and overall the quality of the show is the same as the original.

The voice cast includes Kristen Bell as Anna, Idina Menzel as Elsa, Josh Gad, Jonathan Groff, Jason Ritter, Evan Rachel Wood, Alfred Molina, Ciaran Hinds, and Alan Tudyk. “Frozen 2” was the third highest grossing film of 2019 for Walt Disney Animation, Walt Disney Studios, and The Walt Disney Company. It received one Oscar nod for Best Original Song (“Into the Unknown” Kristen Anderson-Lopez, Robert Lopez). “Frozen 2” is the 58th animated feature film in the official canon of Walt Disney’s historical cartoon movies going back to “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs” of 1937.
