What Men Want (2019)

My Review

“What Men Want” is a romantic comedy film about a woman who drinks a potent concoction which gives her the ability to hear men’s inner thoughts. Director Adam Shankman (“A Walk to Remember” 2002) put together a comedy which has some good moment and some not-so-good moments. This is due to his uneven direction and a poorly written screenplay by Tina Gordon, Alex Gregory, and Peter Huyck. This project is an inferior remake of “What Women Want” (2000).

The cast includes Taraji P. Henson, Tracy Morgan, Richard Roundtree, Pete Davidson, Shaquille O’Neal, and Mark Cuban. “What Men Want” was a modest success at the box office for BET Films, Will Packer Productions, and Paramount Pictures. It was filmed in Atlanta, Georgia.
