My Review

“Saboteur” is yet another Alfred Hitchcock motion picture classic. This exciting and absorbing tale tells the story of a factory worker accused of starting a fire at the aircraft plant where he is employed. He then goes on a cross-country trek to find the real killer, to coin a phrase. This was a timely film in 1942, due to America’s involvement in World War II. Director Hitch ensures his patented suspense throughout the film’s 109 minute running time.

The cast turned in great performances including Robert Cummings, Priscilla Lane, Otto Kruger, Norman Lloyd, Alan Baxter, Alma Kruger, Dorothy Peterson, Clem Bevans, Ian Wolf, Pedro de Cordoba, and Billy Curtis. “Saboteur” was a big hit at the box office for Frank Lloyd Productions, David O. Selznick Productions, and Universal Pictures.
