Criminal (2016)

My Review

“Criminal” is an action film telling the story of a prison convict who is implanted with a dead CIA agent’s memories in order to finish an assignment. Things go terrible wrong when the convict escapes custody after awaking from surgery. I wish I could say the heavy drama proceeds from here, but unfocused direction by Ariel Vromen and terrible writing by Douglas Cook and David Weisberg are the real criminal activity here.

The stars include Kevin Costner, Gary Oldman, Tommy Lee Jones, Gal Gadot, and Ryan Reynolds. “Criminal” was a flop at the box office for Summit Entertainment, Millennium Films, Campbell-Grobman Films, and Lionsgate Films. It was filmed in England, Wales, and Bulgaria.
