Cloverfield (2008)

My Review

“Cloverfield” is a science fiction film film telling the story of six friends attempting to escape New York City after it has been attacked by a monster of some sort. The movie starts off with some camera footage of the creature’s invasion. Director Matt Reeves (“The Pallbearer” 1996) created a unique scifi flick with scary scenes and a tense atmosphere throughout the 85 minute running time.

The cast includes Lizzy Caplan, Jessica Lucas, T. J. Miller, Michael Stahl-David, Mike Vogel, and Odette Yustman. “Cloverfield” was a major box office bonanza for producer J. J. Abrams, Bad Robot Productions, and Paramount Pictures. It was filmed in New York City and Los Angeles. Two sequels followed – “10 Cloverfield Lane” (2016) and “The Cloverfield Paradox” (2018).
