Hell or High Water (2016)

My Review

“Hell or High Water” is modern-day western-crime drama about two brothers who plot a bank robbery to save their family farm, but cannot stop at hitting one bank. The fun proceeds from there, as they are pursued by a pair of persistent Texas Rangers. Director David Mackenzie (“Outlaw King” 2018) and screenwriter Taylor Sheridan created this exciting and funny heist film. It was filmed in New Mexico.

Chris Pine and Ben Foster head the cast as the Howard Brothers, Jeff Bridges and Gil Birmingham are the Texas Rangers, Katy Mixon and Margaret Bowman as waitresses, Marin Ireland as ex-wife of a Howard bro, Melanie Papalia as a call girl, Taylor Sheridan as a cowboy, and Dale Dickey and Amber Midthunder as a bank tellers. “Hell or High Water” was a modest hit at the box office for Sidney Kimmel Entertainment, Lionsgate Films, and CBS Films.
