Angel and the Badman (2026)

My Review

“Angel and the Badman” is a Western movie about an outlaw who steals gold from a gang and is shot during his escape. He stumbles upon a farm and is taken in by a devoutly Christian family and is cared for by their daughter. Director Julio Quintana put together a decent Western melodrama with romantic and religious overtones. The acceptable screenplay was written by Jaime Hernandez, Kevin M. Townsend, and Christopher Tuffin.

The cast include Zachary Levi as the badman, Meg Fraser as the angel, Neal McDonough as the main antagonist, Tommy Lee Jones as the marshal, Jean Louisa Kelly as Meg’s mother, Sean Bridgers as the deputy marshal, Maurice Greene as Neal’s top goon, and John Pyper-Ferguson as the neighboring rancher. “Angel and the Badman” was a box office disappointment for Strong Island Entertainment and Angel Studios. It was filmed in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
