Mission Impossible – Rogue Nation (2015)

My Review

Tom Cruise continues in his three decade reign as one of Hollywood’s top movie stars in “Mission Impossible – Rogue Nation.” This is his fifth appearance as IMF agent Ethan Hunt in the film franchise (1996, 2000, 2006, 2011). After a sketchy mission, the CIA director disbands the Impossible Missions Force and Hunt goes underground, being hunted by the agency. Director-screenwriter Christopher McQuarrie was completely focused with the writing and at the helm of the picture. The 131 minute running time flew by.

The cast includes Tom Cruise, Jeremy Renner, Rebecca Ferguson, Alec Baldwin, Ving Rhames, Simon Pegg, Simon McBurney, Sean Harris, and Tom Hollander as the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom. “Mission Impossible – Rogue Nation” was the eighth highest grossing film of 2015 for producer J. J. Abrams, Skydance Productions, and Paramount Pictures. It was filmed in England, Austria, and Morocco.
