San Andreas (2015)

My Review

“San Andreas” is a disaster film about major earthquakes affecting Los Angeles and San Francisco due to the rupturing of the San Andreas fault. Director Brad Peyton (“Rampage” 2018) put together a decent thriller with plenty of action scenes and special effects, especially involving collapsing buildings. The lucid screenplay was written by Carlton Cuse, from a story by Andre Fabrizio and Jeremy Passmore.

The cast includes Dwayne Johnson, Carla Gugino, Ioan Gruffudd, Paul Giamatti, Todd Williams, Kylie Minogue, and Will Yun Lee. “San Andreas” was a big hit at the box office for New Line Cinema, Village Roadshow Pictures, RatPac-Dune Entertainment, Flynn Picture Company, and Warner Bros. Pictures. It was filmed in Queensland, Australia, and diverse locations in California.
