My Review

Two men get into trouble at a rodeo when they are falsely accused of murdering the event promoter when he does not give them their prize money in “The Desert Trail.” Lewis D. Collins was guilty of some unfocused direction and a confusing plot from the terrible screenplay by Lindsley Parsons. This 54 minute film truly lives up to its B-movie status with all of this nonsense from the production staff, including mediocre production values.

The cast includes John Wayne, Paul Fix, Lafe McKee, Mary Kornman, Al Ferguson, Henry Hall, Eddie Chandler, and Carmen Laroux. “The Desert Trail” was created by Paul Malvern Productions, Lone Star Productions, and Monogram Pictures Corporation. It was filmed at ranches in Newhall and Santa Clarita, California.
