I’ll See You in My Dreams (2015)

My Review

Blythe Danner delivers a tour de force performances as a retired widow who suddenly finds herself involved with two very different men in “I’ll See You in My Dreams.” Brett Haley (“The New Year” 2010) sensitively directs Danner and her fellow cast members in this very introspective romantic drama. Haley co-wrote the classy screenplay with Marc Basch.

The cast includes Blythe Danner in the lead part, Sam Elliott and Martin Starr as the two gentlemen callers, and June Squibb, Rhea Pearlman, Mary Kay Place, Max Gail, and Malin Ackerman as friends. The watchable “I’ll See You in My Dreams” was a low-budget independent movie which was a modest box office hit for Northern Lights Films, Part2 Pictures, Jeff Rice Films, and Bleeker Street Media. It was filmed in Los Angeles County.
