“90 Minutes in Heaven” is a faith-based film about a Baptist minister who dies in a car crash and visits Heaven for an hour-and-a-half before he wakes up in a hospital. Director-screenwriter Michael Polish put together this lucid film with good writing and good performances. It was based on the 2004 book of the same name by Don Piper and Cecil Murphey.
The cast includes Hayden Christensen, Kate Bosworth, Hudson Meek, Dwight Yoakam, Fred Thompson, Michael W. Smith, Bobby Batson, and Rhoda Griffis as the principal. “90 Minutes in Heaven” was a flop at the box office for Family Christian Entertainment, Emmet/Furla Films, Giving Films, and Samuel Goldwyn Films. It was filmed in Atlanta, Georgia.
