What About Bob? (1991)

My Review

Outstanding chemistry between Richard Dreyfuss and Bill Murray are featured front-and-center in the comedy movie “What About Bob?” This story about a needy patient who follows his psychiatrist on vacation is loaded with laughs, thanks to a skillfully written screenplay by Tom Schulman and crisp direction by Frank Oz (“The Muppets Take Manhattan” 1984).

The supporting cast includes Julie Haggerty, Charlie Korsmo, Kathryn Erbe, Tom Aldridge, Susan Willis, Roger Bowen, Doris Belack, Fran Brill, Marcella Lowery, and Joan Lunden as herself. The watchable “What About Bob?” was successful in theatrical release for Touchstone Pictures, Buena Vista Pictures Distribution, and The Walt Disney Company. It was primarily filmed in Moneta, Virginia.
