Land Raiders (1970)

My Review

“Land Raiders” is a western drama film about a land grab by a rancher against a local Indian tribe, sparking a war. Director Nathan Juran (“First Men in the Moon” 1964) put together a low-budget “B” movie, which is passable entertainment with mediocre production values. The makeshift screenplay was written by Ken Pettus.

The stellar cast helped to make this an entertaining motion picture, including Telly Savalas, Arlene Dahl, George Maharis, Janet Landgard, Guy Rolfe, Fernando Rey, George Coulouris, Phil Brown, Paul Picerni, John Clark, and Gustavo Rojo. Filmed in beautiful Technicolor in Spain and Hungary, “Land Raiders” had limited theatrical release from Morningside Productions and Columbia Pictures.
