Hard Miles (2023)

My Review

“Hard Miles” is a sports drama about a prison social worker who puts together a team of young convicts and takes them on a one thousand mile bicycle ride, from Denver to the Grand Canyon. They learn about life and perseverance along the way. Director R. J. Daniel Hanna put together a fine drama, albeit a predictable sports drama, based on real-life events of Greg Townsend and River Ridge Academy of Colorado. He co-wrote the script with Christian Sander, who is also the producer.

The cast includes Matthew Modine as Greg, with Cynthia McWilliams, Sean Astin, Jahking Guillory, Leslie David Baker, Jackson Kelly, Damien Diaz, Zach Robbins, Jaxon Goldenberg, and Judah Mackey. The watchable “Hard Miles” has not done well at the box office for Pense Productions and Blue Fox Entertainment. It is available for viewing on streaming channels like Amazon Prime.
