My Review

Peter Lorre starred as “international policeman” Kenturo Moto in a series of eight B-films between 1937 and 1939. In number six, “Mr. Moto’s Last Warning,” our hero tries to stop a plot to cause a war between Britain and France over the Suez Canal. Co-stars include George Sanders, John Carradine, and Ricardo Cortez.

Screenwriters Philip MacDonald and Norman Foster adapted the story from the character in the series of “Mr. Moto” novels by John P. Marquand which were first published in 1935. The films were successful at the Depression Era box office for 20th Century Fox.
