My Review

“Scooby-Doo” is a live-action comedy thriller about a group of young adult sleuths and their Great Dane, who solves crime cases. Director Raja Gosnell (“Home Alone 3” 1997) and screenwriter James Gunn put forth a respectable film version of the television show of the same name that first aired on CBS in 1969.

The cast includes Neil Fanning as the voice of Scooby-Doo, Freddie Prinze Jr., Sarah Michelle Gellar, Linda Cardellini, Rowan Atkinson, Matthew Lillard, Isla Fisher, Miguel A. Nunez Jr., and Pamela Anderson. “Scooby-Doo” was a big hit at the box office for Atlas Entertainment, Mosaic Media Group, and Warner Bros. Pictures.

It was nominated for two Golden Raspberry Awards (The Razzies) for Worst Supporting Actor (Prinze) and Most Flatulent Teen-Targeted Movie. A sequel, “Scooby-Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed,” was release in 2004 with much of the same cast.
