The cast is headed by Nick Offerman as a follower of the sovereign citizen movement. He delivered an engrossing performance, previously best known as mild-mannered Ron Swanson of NBC’s sitcom “Parks and Recreation” (2009-2015). The supporting cast includes Jacob Tremblay as his son, Martha Plimpton as his friend, Dennis Quaid as the police chief, and Thomas Mann and Nancy Travis as Quaid’s son and daughter-in-law.
The watchable “Sovereign” was not successful in theatrical release for Briarcliff Entertainment and All Night Diner. It was filmed on location in Arkansas.
