“The Rundown” is an action comedy picture about a debt collector/bounty hunter whose boss sends him to the Amazon region of Brazil to search for his missing son. He discovers the area is controlled by a tyrannical treasure hunter, with the comedy, drama, and action proceeding from there. Director Peter Berg (“Friday Night Lights” 2004) put together a respectable film that doesn’t break any new ground, but has plenty of laughs and good action sequences.

The watchable escapist entertainment “The Rundown” flopped at the box office for Columbia Pictures, Strike Entertainment, WWE Films, and Universal Pictures. It was filmed on location on the islands of Kawai and Oahu in the state of Hawaii.
