My Review

Sandra Bullock stars as a writer forced to enter a rehab facility after ruining her sister’s wedding and crashing the limousine while drunk in “28 Days.” Director Betty Thomas (“The Brady Bunch Movie” 1995) put together an entertaining yet formulaic film from an endearing screenplay by Susannah Grant.

Sandra Bullock brings her appealing persona to the lead role. Her talent is at the center of the film, supplemented by co-stars Viggo Mortensen, Dominic West, Elizabeth Perkins, Steve Buscemi, Alan Tudyk, Diane Ladd, Margo Martindale, Marianne Jean-Baptiste, and Elijah Kelley as Darnell. The watchable “28 Days” was a modest hit at the box office for Columbia Pictures, Tall Tree Productions, and Sony Pictures Releasing. It was filmed in North Carolina.
