My Review

“The Miracle Club” is an Irish comedy-drama movie about a group of three women and a boy from Dublin on a pilgrimage to Lourdes in France. They seek miracles for health conditions but find healing in unexpected ways. Director Thaddeus O’Sullivan put together this feel-good and thought-provoking story from a well-written screenplay by Jimmy Smallhorne, Timothy Prager, and Joshua D. Maurer.

The film has three big name stars that deliver excellent performances: Kathy Bates, Laura Linney, and Maggie Smith. The supporting cast includes Agnes O’Casey, Stephen Rea, Mark O’Halloran, Mark McKenna, Niall Buggy, Hazel Doupe, Leslie Conroy, and Brenda Fricker as the voice of Maureen. “The Miracle Club” had moderate success at the box office for Zephyr Films, City Films Entertainment, and Lionsgate UK. It was filmed in Ireland.
