A Dangerous Man (2009)

My Review

“A Dangerous Man” is an action movie telling the story of a former Army Special Forces soldier released from prison after serving six years for a crime he did not commit. However, he soon becomes entangled with a group of Chinese criminals causing trouble. The action proceeds from there, fairly well managed by director-screenwriter Keoni Waxman (“The Anna Nicole Smith Story” 2007).

The film is loaded with action sequences featuring shoot-outs and the martial arts talents of Steven Seagal,the star of the show. The plot is predictable, with the film serving as good escapist entertainment. Co-stars include Marlaina Mah, Mike Dupod, Byron Lawson, Byron Mann, Jesse Hutch, Jerry Wasserman, and Terry Chen as Chen.

The watchable “A Dangerous Man” was a direct-to-dvd film from executive producer Steven Seagal, Steamroller Productions, Voltage Pictures, Legacy Filmworks, Desert Road Productions, and Paramount Home Entertainment.
