A Song for Christmas (2017)

My Review

“A Song for Christmas” is a holiday romantic drama film about two single parents who stumble into romance at Christmas time, only to find out that their two daughters are embroiled in a nasty rivalry at their high school. The drama proceeds from there, which is a little more intense than other made-for-television Christmas movies. Director Christie Will Wolf did an excellent job from the teleplay written by Sheryl J. Anderson.

The cast includes Kelli Williams and Jonathan Scarfe as the happy couple, Pippa Mackie and Kayla Wallace as the daughters, Rickie He, Naika Toussaint, and Natalie Von Rotsburg. “A Song for Christmas” debuted on streaming channel Tubi in November, 2017, from producers Reel One Entertainment and Filmrise. It is not to be confused with another film, also called “A Song for Christmas,” which first aired on the Hallmark Channel, also in November, 2017.
