My Review

“A Wrinkle in Time” is a fantasy movie about a 13-year-old girl and her brother who go on a rescue mission across the galaxy to find their father, aided by three “heavenly” beings. Director Ave DuVernay created a film with unfocused direction from an atrocious screenplay, written by Jennifer Lee and Jeff Stockwell. It was adapted from the 1962 young adult science fiction fantasy novel “A Wrinkle in Time” by Madeleine L’Engle. The stupidity of this material insults the intelligence of the audience.

The cast includes Oprah Winfrey, Reese Witherspoon, Mindy Kaling, Storm Reid, Levi Miller, Chris Pine, Zach Galifianakis, Michael Pena, David Oyelowo, and Andre Holland as the school principal. The unwatchable nonsense “A Wrinkle in Time” was a box office bomb for Walt Disney Pictures, Whitaker Entertainment, Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures, and The Walt Disney Company. It was filmed in California and New Zealand.
