All Saints (2017)

My Review

“All Saints” is the true story of a small Episcopal church in Tennessee scheduled to close when some new members from the Karen people of Myanmar in south Asia breath new life into the fellowship. Producer-director Steve Gomer (“Barney’s Great Adventure” 1998) and screenwriter Steve Armour put together a faith-based movie that is not “preachy,” but shows what can happen when diverse peoples work together for the Kingdom of God.

The cast includes John Corbett as the pastor, Nelson Lee as the leader of the Karen people, Cara Buono as the pastor’s wife, Myles Monroe as their son, Gregory Alan Williams as the bishop, and Barry Corbin, Angela Fox, David Keith, and Chonda Pierce as church parishioners. The watchable “All Saints” had some modest box office success for Affirm Films, Provident Films, and Sony Pictures Releasing. It was filmed in Tennessee.
