American Made (2017)

My Review

“American Made” is an action-comedy film about a TWA pilot who becomes a drug smuggler for a major cartel back in the 1980’s. This engrossing film was directed with laser-like precision by Doug Limon (“Mr. and Mrs. Smith” 2005) from a lucid script by Gary Spinelli. It was filmed in Georgia, Louisiana, and Colombia, with loads of action scenes, especially in the air.

Tom Cruise lends his patented persona to the lead role, which really does carry the picture. His co-stars include Domhnall Gleeson, Sarah Wright Olsen, Jesse Plemons, Caleb Landry Jones, and Benito Martinez. The watchable “American Made” was a box office hit for Imagine Entertainment, Cross Creek Pictures, and Universal Pictures.
