My Review

Charlize Theron and director David Leitch have turned out a first-class spy thriller movie “Atomic Blonde.” Theron plays a spy desperately trying to find a list of double agents before it gets into the hands of Soviet agents on the eve of the collapse of the Berlin Wall in 1989. The screenplay by Kurt Johnstad was adapted from the 2012 novel “The Coldest City” by Anthony Johnston and Sam Hart.

The film contains fantastic action sequences expertly handled by Leitch, who gained valuable experience at the helm of a similar picture called “John Wick” back in 2014. Worth mentioning is the fourteen minute fight-and-car chase scene where Theron’s character attempts to save a man named Spyglass.

Co-stars include John Goodman, Toby Jones, Eddie Marsan, James McAvoy, Sofia Boutella, and Bill Skarsgard. The watchable “Atomic Blonde” was a hit at the box office for producer Charlize Theron, Sierra Pictures, Denver and Delilah Productions, 87Eleven Productions, and Focus Features. It was filmed in Germany and Hungary.
