Battle: Los Angeles (2011)

My Review

“Battle: Los Angeles” is a science fiction film about Los Angeles being the last stand against an alien invasion of Earth, with a staff sergeant and his platoon taking the lead in fighting them. Director Jonathan Liebesman (“The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning” 2006) gave much of the film a realistic war feel as it followed the platoon fighting its way through L. A. The well written screenplay by Chris Bertolini is very realistic.

The cast includes Aaron Eckhart, Michelle Rodriguez, Bridget Moynahan, Michael Pena, Lucas Till, Ramon Rodriguez, Noel Fisher, Neil Brown Jr., Gino Anthony Pesi, and Cory Hardrict. The watchable “Battle: Los Angeles” was a hit at the box office for Columbia Pictures, Relativity Media, Original Film, and Sony Pictures Releasing. It was filmed primarily in Louisiana, with some exterior shot in Los Angeles.
