Billy Madison (1995)

My Review

“Billy Madison” is a comedy movie about a ne’er-do-well son of a wealthy hotel magnate who must prove he is worthy of taking of taking over his father’s company by successfully completing grades 1 through 12. The somewhat predicable but well-executed comedy proceeds from there. Director Tamra Davis (“Bad Girls” 1994) and screenwriters Tim Herlihy and Adam Sandler put together an amusing show with good performances and lots of laughs.

The cast is headed by Adam Sandler in the title role. He was personifies the lazy and partying Billy Madison – This performance catapulted him to international stardom. Co-stars include Bradley Whitford, Norm MacDonald, Darrin McGavin, Bridgett Wilson, Jim Downey, Larry Hankin, Robert Smigel, Steve Buscemi, and Chris Farley as the bus driver. The watchable “Billy Madison” was a modest hit at the box office for Robert Simonds Productions and Universal Pictures.
