My Review

“Boo 2! A Madea Halloween” is a comedy horror film following Madea, Aunt Bam, and Hattie as they travel to a haunted campground to rescue Brian’s 18-year-old daughter Tiffany from a wild fraternity Halloween party. Director-screenwriter Tyler Perry is definitely on auto pilot as this tenth film in the “Madea” series definitely has bad writing, terrible performances, and sloppy directing but still is funny and entertaining and makes the audience laugh itself silly.

Tyler Perry is also at the head of the cast with not only his familiar depiction of the wise-cracking Mabel “Madea” Simmons, but also playing Uncle Joe Simmons and straight-laced Brian Simmons. Co-stars include Cassie Davis, Patrice Lovely, Yousef Erakat, Diamond White, Andre Hall, Tito Ortiz, and Taja V. Simpson. “Boo 2! A Madea Halloween” was a box office success for Tyler Perry Studios and Lionsgate Films. It was filmed in Atlanta, Georgia. This sequel to “Boo! A Madea Halloween” (2016) was nominated for four Golden Raspberry Awards, winning one for Worst Actress (Perry).
